Heat up your profits with energy saving heaters!

The leaves have fallen and the cold and snow will soon be upon us. Higher energy prices have sparked a frenzy for alternatives to home heating this winter. Consumer alarm has been sparked by editorial such as the WSJ’s “Home Heat: a Rush for Alternatives” to 19-year-old Farmers Almanac forecasting below average temperatures for winter 2008 saying “numb is the word” followed with “this is going to be catastrophic for millions of people with energy costs up 25 percent over 2007.”

The solution has been found in a revolutionary, safe, effective and energy-efficient portable heater called the safehearth. This was a great new product at the 2008 VDTA Show in Las Vegas. Even though winter was nearly over, hundreds of orders for this product were filled in April and sales have been booming ever since.

After much comparison at the VDTA Convention, Jim Hibbert, 2004 VDTA Hall of Fame inductee, and Brent Cowie, president of Hibbert Wholesale in Canada, chose the safehearth to distribute to the Canadian vacuum dealer market.

Kenneth Heinrich, owner of three Midwest Sewing stores, sells over 900 heaters annually and he has reordered three times since August. Heinrich said, “The more reasonable wholesale price point, the superior technology, and service of the company have converted me to the safehearth heater.”

Steve Pinegar of Lawrence, KS, was thrilled with the pricing of the safehearth. Sine he previously sold all the quartz bulb and coil heaters, he personally tested the new safehearth in his own home last winter before deciding to market only safehearth in the 2008-2009 season.

Frank Clemenza of Boyd Sewing and Vacuum in Eureka, CA, stated, “Ditto! It’s the best. I sold my first safehearth before it was shipped just from the brochure. We had the other versions in our cabin and had been satisfied but the portability and heat output make the new safehearth unparalleled by any of the competition.”

Today even the customers with efficient main heating systems need zoned supplemental safe heat to survive the energy crisis. In the past, a heater sale was for that basement or isolated play or work room. While many own that spare portable heater purchased at a big box store, statistics have showed that the warmth of heat provided from some heaters comes at a high price. Over 100,000 residential fires, responsible for 600 deaths and over $900 million in property damage, are ignited each year by portable heaters, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Safehearth is a better way!

Inherently Safe

The new safehearth is a generation beyond all other manufacturers who use bulbs or coils and can best be described as a “smart technology.” The heart of the safehearth is the Ceramikor plate. Unlike bulbs or coils the Ceramikor plate, a stonelike heating element, is assigned reference temperature when manufactured. That target temperature enables the unit to warm quickly, disperse heat evenly and controls any possibility of overheating. In other words this self-regulating core, the heart and brain of the safehearth heater, means the safehearth heater can’t start fires or be hot to the touch. This inherently safe technology is UL, CSA and VDE-recognized.

Remarkably Effective

The benefits of using the new Ceramikor core as a heating element over conventional bulbs or coils and fuel-driven heaters are that it heats faster and provides a more uniform heat. This is because the Ceramikor core has a larger overall heating surface than can be attained with either bulbs or coils.

Combustion heat sources have to reach a burning level temperature to heat. That type of heat instantly rises to the ceiling, making them both uncomfortable and inefficient as heat sources. A secondary hazard of systems that burn heat is that they burn the oxygen in the air, yielding a drying irritation for the sinuses and throat. This lack of oxygen also causes fatigue as well as produces harmful by-products.

The Ceramikor core is such an effective heating surface that it has resulted in the new safehearth heater being less than half the weight (22 lbs.) of typical bulbs and coil heaters. This smaller footprint and compact size gives the unit more portability within the home and less expensive shipping costs to your store.

Undeniably Efficient

From an efficiency standpoint, the unit is a smart buy because the life of the core is in excess of three years while in the “on” mode. This translates into many years of use for your customers. Thus, the life expectancy of the unit far exceeds the industry standard. The durable and “long-lasting” construction offers a heating life that exceeds all bulbs, coils and even quartz infrared systems. It has a lifetime filter that never needs to be replaced. The savings in heating bills are estimated at 40 percent.

The smart features of the safehearth include a remote control as well as a touch panel on the unit. Using the touch panel, the temperature as well as the fan speed can be set. The LED panel lights up to touch, shows a digital temperature readout, the current temperature, the fan speed and a timer. It also has a generous 14-foot cord and recessed wheels for portability. All parts are easily serviceable by you, the independent vacuum dealer.

The safehearth heater has an unparalleled advantage over all other portable heaters as it incorporates ActivePure technology, originally developed by NASA to purify the air in spacecrafts. The cell incorporated in the safehearth uses this ActivePure technology which is the newest generation of photo catalytic oxidation. It works by causing a catalytic reaction between a high intensity 25,000 hour broad spectrum bulb including of A, B and C called UVX and the four rare metals coated on the honeycomb matrix which surround the bulb.

The reaction of the bulb with the rare metals produces purifying plasma of safe oxides, which flow through the outgoing air stream to destroy mold, mildew, MRSA, bacteria, and viruses. It also removes VOCs and odors, both in the air and on surfaces. When the safehearth is operating, the user is also getting a superior form of air purification. This is not antiquated UV and does not produce ozone. v
