Baby Lock launches online classes

On March 3, Baby Lock (www.babylock.com) launched Sew@Home, a new collection of live and pre-recorded online classes that teach the basic functions and special features of Baby Lock products and Designer’s Gallery software. Designed to help consumers get the most out of their Designer’s Gallery software and Baby Lock machines, Sew@Home offers a convenient way sewers can learn from the comfort of their own homes.

Sewers can purchase Sew@Home packages from their local Baby Lock dealers. Each package includes three access codes that can be used to register and access any of the one-hour Sew@Home online classes. Dealers will find Sew@Home particularly useful to complement their in-store classes, offering more training to those who need one-on-one attention, or even to entice future buyers by demonstrating what they can achieve before purchasing the product.

Each Sew@Home class requires only a high-speed Internet connection and a separate phone line the call our toll free number. Sewers can choose from a variety of live classes held throughout the day on topics ranging from basic features and functionality of software all the way through advanced techniques. Baby Lock and Designer’s Gallery experts teach each class and take participants through each step on screen as they listen via telephone. Participants can even ask questions using the live chat box and receive answers directly from the class instructors. Or, participants can choose to participate in prerecorded classes at times most convenient to them.

To celebrate the launch of the Sew@Home collection, Baby Lock is offering the first 500 sewers bonus packages containing three access codes, a mouse pad, a tablet of paper, and a note holder for taking notes – all useful items for getting the most out of each class. Classes include Basic Computer Skills for Embroiderers, Auto Digitizing Photos in MasterWorks and MasterWorks II, and Interactive Embroidery: Floral Accents & Décor, among many others.
