Industry News Nancy Jewell joins Coats & Clark Coats & Clark has announced that Nancy Jewell, former publicity director for VSM Sewing Inc., has joined the company in the position of new business development-sewings. She will be based in the Charlotte, NC, office. Jewell will be responsible for the development of programs and product offerings to help grow the company’s position in the sewing marketplace. She will work closely with sales and marketing, sewings and the company’s fabric division to create, market and publicize integrated dealer-focused programs. Jewell has spent most of her career in the sewing industry most recently developing marketing programs in the aftermarkets department at VSM Sewing, parent company to Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff and Singer dealer sewing machine business. She spearheaded advertising and publicity efforts for Husqvarna Viking sewing machines for nearly 19 years including, the introduction of the Martha Stewart sewing machine endorsement, planning and organizing annual international conventions, serving as liaison to the industry’s sewing teachers and producing instructional, promotional and educational videos and television programming. Prior to joining VSM Sewing, Jewell worked as a marketing administrator for Singer Sewing Machine Company. “We are pleased Nancy has decided to join our team.
