Plastiflex Canada awards Avnan Electro with “Supplier of the Year” When the industry leader of vacuum hoses and the industry leader of central vacuum controls work together great things happen. Avnan has been a key supplier to Plastiflex since 1999 and the partnership has never been stronger. With the turbulent market conditions of today these two market leaders have been working together to keep product innovations flowing and pricing as stable as possible. Together their teams have worked through Kaizen meetings and countless design innovations. Their collaboration has resulted in the creation of a consigned inventory program, and many innovative, out of the box ideas -- all bringing true value to the industry. It is through these types of partnerships that our industry thrives. In a recent ceremony taken place at Avnan’s head office, Plastiflex’s team, Brad Dixon (General Manager), Cindy Montgomery (Supply Chain Manager) and Kathleen Blanchard, (Quality Manager) presented the prestigious award of “2007 Supplier of the Year” to Avnan President, Anuj Jain, Karen Lai (Operations Manager), and the rest of the Avnan team. Brad announced his overall satisfaction with the performance and value that Avnan brings to the table. He mentioned, “It’s been a challenging year and Avnan has done a great job of servicing Plastiflex in a seamless and cooperative manner. Both companies are extremely goal oriented.” Cindy continued with, “We’ve seen huge improvements since we started here…based on our merit point system Avnan scored 98.6 out of 100, which is an exceptional score.” The meeting concluded on a humorous note with Cindy crowning Karen as “Miss Plastiflex 2007.” Visit www.plastiflex.com and www.avnan.com for more information on either of these two companies.
