Sulky introduces new stabilizers & new wider rolls

Sulky is proud to introduce two new stabilizers: Sulky Tender Touch™ Iron-On Backing and the new and improved Sulky Heat Away Clear Film™ Stabilizer.

Tender Touch is a lightweight, permanent stabilizer that is ideal to “cover-the-back” of finished computerized embroideries to protect sensitive skin from scratchy stitches. It can also be used as a preparation for all delicate fabrics such as silk, satin, lame’, batiste, open weave wovens, and lightweight cottons to help prevent shredding or distortion due to heavy needle penetrations when embroidering.

Tender Touch protects the fabric by giving it the needed support while embroidering, without changing the hand or drape of the fabric. It is ideal for baby and child garments, sports apparel, lingerie, spandex and golf shirts because it stretches with the garment.

Another layer of Tender Touch can then be applied over the underside of the embroidery to protect sensitive skin from scratchy stitches.

Tender Touch is ideal as an iron-on lining in garment construction.

Tender Touch is available in the following put-ups:
• Article #664-01 - 20” x 36” Package
• Article #664-08 - 8” x 9yd Roll
• Article #664-25 - 20” x 25yd Bolt

Sulky Heat Away Clear Film can be used as a topper or stabilizer on all fabrics that can withstand iron temperatures of 260-300 degrees (similar to a cotton setting on most irons). It is perfect for computer-embroidered lace, cutwork, Battenberg lace, free-motion thread lace, and 3-D thread appliqués. It works well on most fabric types. New and improved Heat-Away Clear Film is an excellent option when you do not want residue left on the fabric; when water is not an option for removing a stabilizer; or when tearing could damage the stitching or fabric.

Heat-Away Clear Film removes easily by pressing with a hot iron until all the film has melted and formed little balls. Then, you simply brush away the remaining particles.

Heat-Away Clear Film is available in the following put-ups:
• Article #850-01 – 19.75”x 36”Package
• Article #850-08 – 7.875” x 9 yd Roll
• Article#850-25 – 19.75” x 25 yd Bolt

NOTE: The Original Heat-Away (Article numbers 840-01, 840-08, and 840-15) has been discontinued. Please order this new and improved version from your Sulky distributor.

Sulky is also introducing new wider rolls in six most popular styles for the largest hoop sizes on the market today!

These six new Sulky 20” wide rolls are available exclusively in reusable, clamshell storage containers:

Complete use instructions and packaging information on all of the Sulky stabilizers are available in downloadable format on the Sulky Web site, www.sulky.com .
