• Last month's feature article proposed that you incorporate fashion sewing into your store to attract a younger generation, including teens and twenty-somethings. "Drawing a New Generation Into Your Shop" by Lisa Archer also hones in on this issue, though she targets thirty- and forty-somethings with her store event ideas, including Wine Down Wednesday.

• Both of these articles focus on the cycle of sustainability, which our industry creates. While companies like American & Efird strive to enhance sustainable products and business practices, customers then use those products to build – or rather, sew – a more self-sustaining lifestyle.

• Jim Barnhardt and John Tschohl together speak of the customer service experience in terms of "give and take."
