DIY Style now available from McCalls Patterns

As online hosts, and 20-somethings, Allyce King and Melissa Watson use their design and sewing expertise to show how to make hip fashions, accessories and more in their 10-minute vodcast lessons on www.diystyle.net.

Budding seamstresses and fashionistas can now create the DIYStyle look at home with two introductory patterns from the McCall’s DIYStyle collection. Sewers will want to pick up pattern M5662 for a quick knit top, tunic or dress that looks like it came right off the runway. Pattern M5651 gives design-it-yourselfers a chance to create custom lingerie at a fraction of boutique prices. Each pattern contains revamped guide sheets with fashion, design and sewing tips from Allyce and Melissa; plus easy-to-follow directions.

“We call them Design It Yourself, because you can take our basic look and tweak it any number of ways to suit YOUR style. Totally flexible, wearable, and dare we say, chic?” said Allyce.

After purchasing these two hot pattern designs, sewers can visit www.diystyle.net and subscribe to their free sew-centric vodcast to learn all the tricks of the trade. Sewing has never been more fashionable or fun!

DIYStyle is sponsored by McCall’s Pattern Company, Baby Lock, Sulky of America, American Sewing Guild, Palmer/Pletsch and Clover Needlecraft. For more information, visit www.diystyle.net.
