Blueair, Inc. introduces MD Professional series

Click for larger imageBlueair, Inc., the manufacturer of high-end, Swedish-designed air purifiers, has introduced their MD Professional series unit for commercial use in healthcare facilities, hotels, apartments/condos, retirement homes and schools. The unit provides maximum control of airborne contaminants and serves as an effective and reliable complement to an already existing ventilation system.

The Blueair MD Professional Series, united with a good ventilation system, helps remove harmful pathogens and common allergens from the air including smoke, pollen, dust mites, chemical pollutants and other impurities. This unit is specially designed for facilities and workplaces that care about the health and well-being of their tenants, guests, employees or patients.

For example, with hospital-inquired infections on the rise, patients and healthcare professionals are demanding better ventilation systems to prevent the circulation of respiratory pathogens. With the Blueair MD Professional Series air purifier, the stringent standards of the healthcare profession are met to reduce airborne infections of employees and patients.

The Blueair MD Professional uses up to 55 percent less energy with savings that accumulate over the lifetime of the unit. It costs nearly 20 percent less to run than other air purifiers in its class, yet does the job of removing airborne contaminants effectively. The unit is terrific for quieter settings, such as a hospital or retirement home, since it runs 12 percent quieter on its highest speed and 25 percent quieter on its lowest speed to similar air purifiers in its class.

“The new MD Professional air purifier from Blueair is the only choice for commercial settings that want energy-efficient products at a competitive price,” said Tony Ritter, executive director of professional sales for Blueair. “From removing airborne contaminants and odors in hotel guest rooms to reducing the risks associated with indoor air pollution in retirement homes, the MD Professional Series air purifier is the perfect addition to any commercial setting for clean, pure air.”

The unit has a filtration efficiency of 99.5 percent and a CADR ratio among the highest recorded to date by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program. CADR stands for Clean Air Delivery Rate, which is a measure of the air purifier’s ability to reduce smoke, dust and pollen particles of a specialized size range from the air. The measure is then compared to the unit’s energy consumption data to determine its energy efficiency.

Quality, whisper-silent operation and patented HEPASilent™ filtration technology are hallmarks of Blueair air purifiers and the MD Professional Series is no exception. Secured with a sturdy die-cast aluminum bracket, its powerful motor provides a higher rate of air exchange, yet is ultra-quiet, thanks to its galvanized steel housing.

Its large grille allows the unit to clean the air with ease and includes an airflow inlet and outlet that are much larger than other air purifiers in its class. This means the unit produces virtually no noticeable draft, while providing an exceptional air exchange rate. What’s more, during operation, the unit produces no ozone by-products.

Unlike other air purifiers in its class that can have up to five filters, the Blueair MD Professional Series only requires one filter. This highly effective, multi-gas filter with activated carbon removes common allergens and impurities from the air with ease.
