Germ Guardian® product lines expand with launch of new dealer-exclusive upright vacuum

In a continuing effort to bring unique products to the market, Germ Guardian®, maker of air and floor care products, is launching its first dealer-exclusive vacuum equipped with its customary antimicrobial product protection, as well as many other innovative features.

The Germ Guardian model GGU500D, is a bagged, 12 amp upright vacuum that provides professional performance and durability thanks to its superior design, user-friendly features and quality parts. It is the ideal cleaning companion for those who suffer from allergies, asthma, or other breathing ailments.

A HEPA filtration system, including the bag and filters, helps provide a clean air living environment for those with respiratory ailments. The multi-stage filtration system uses a combination of a two-layer, disposable fabric bag, an active carbon motor protection filter, and a HEPA exhaust filter to keep allergens and dust out of the home. The HEPA filtration system traps up to 99.97 percent of all airborne allergens such as household dust, pet dander, mold spores and plant pollens. Ultra-Fresh™ antimicrobial treatment has been added to the bag, filters, and handle for added protection that helps control the growth of allergy and odor-causing bacteria and mold. And finally, the motor is installed in a sealed chamber to assure that dust is exhausted and captured through the filters, NOT through the seams of the vacuum.

The GGU500D includes the quality cues that dealers expect and customers need for performance and durability. Metal components include the brushroll, base plate, wheel axles, handle release lock, pulley/clutch system, handle and telescopic wand.

It’s equipped with versatile cleaning features such as the Touch “N” Go system that easily allows the user to switch from carpet to hard floor cleaning without having to bend or stoop down. An ergonomic handle allows for more control and comfort while vacuuming. And adding to its ease-of-use are an extra long 33-foot power cord and an assortment of onboard cleaning accessories that include a crevice tool, upholstery tool and dusting brush. The wands and stretch hose reach up to 10 feet, making them especially useful in cleaning hard-to-reach areas such as furniture, tall window frames, ceiling fans and bookshelves. Additional features include: convenient carrying handle, check bag and full bag indicator light, finger tip on/off switch, bright headlight and four-year limited warranty.
