Frank Scrofani
Hillsborough Vacuum LLC
1951 -

Frank Scrofani photoChristmas came early for Frank and Lena Scrofani, on December 23, 1951, when they gave birth to their only child, Frank R. Scrofani. At a young age, Frank learned the values that he has carried with him till this day. Honesty, integrity, family and enthusiasm are just some of the qualities Frank has developed and passed on to his 5 children and 2 grandchildren, with his wife of 30 years, Patty.

Frank started his long career in floor care with the Sears, Roebuck and Co. as Department Manager for the Vacuum and Sewing Departments in Norwalk, CT. It was here where Frank started to develop his professional skills in dealing with buying, gross profits, inventory control, advertising and sales planning. It was with Frank's success in these categories that propelled him up the ladder over an 8 year span, where he became Appliance Division Manager.

With higher goals in mind, Frank took the position of Field Sales Representative with The Hoover Company in 1981. Frank's drive and passion quickly impacted The Hoover Company as he sustained substantial and consecutive growth by consistently expanding the Independent Dealer Network with assignments in CT, WI and NY. In 1984, Frank was promoted to the position of Senior Account Executive where he doubled the Total Sales Volume through major accounts in the New York Metro area.

After 3 years, Frank accepted a position as Product Manager with Brother International, which led to a position as Regional Sales Manager with Sharp Electronics Corporation. It was with Sharp where Frank was able to use all his experience to exponentially grow the Vacuum Cleaner Division through Specialty Vacuum distributors. In 1992, Frank was promoted and launched Sharp's "Twin Energy" line of floor care products. During Frank's tenure as Director of Sales, Sharp's vacuum cleaner sales grew from under $4,000,000 to over $55,500,000 annually.

Although Frank enjoyed great success with Sharp Electronics, in August of 2000 Frank left Sharp to become an Independent Vacuum Retailer and opened Hillsborough Vacuum. The biggest reason for opening his own business was to spend more time with his family. Almost 14 years later, Frank is still providing a great service to his local community and has gained a positive reputation in the process. Frank hopes that his children will be able to carry the torch and take over the family business, when he plans to retire at the end of 2014.

Anybody that has crossed paths with Frank, over the years, knows that his heart is bigger than Cowboys Stadium and would do absolutely anything for the people that he loves. His outgoing personality has affected the hearts of so many and it is because of this, that his professional relationships are now personal relationships.
