Peter Pavlick was born in Freeport, NY, and raised in Solon, OH. He graduated from Solon High School where he was on the wrestling and football teams. Pete was serious about education and graduated from Kent State University with an Economics Degree. He earned an Applied Mathematics Degree from Case Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from Kent State University.
Pete worked for Pesco Products, a division of Borg Warner, manufacturing electric motors. Pete joined AMETEK in 1970 and worked various jobs in manufacturing and engineering where his sales position brought him into the vacuum cleaner industry. Representing AMETEK, Pete worked with most vacuum cleaner OEM's, Eureka, Royal, and particularly with the Central Vacuum OEM's. Pete is very active with the American Standards and Testing Method (ASTM) organization. He has worked on and led may committees and groups working to build standard testing methods for the vacuum cleaner industry as well as educate and build professionalism in the business. Pete's activism, experience and expertise helped AMETEK become a leading manufacturer of vacuum cleaner motors.
Upon Pete's retirement from AMETEK, he formed his own consulting and sales company PBM Solutions, and he continues to work in the vacuum cleaning motor business.
Pete and his wife Betty live in Solon, OH, and have two children and three grandchildren.
