Wallace D. Moye
Owner, Moye’s Sewing Center
1935 -

Wallace Moye, owner of Moye’s Sewing Center, has spent more than 30 years as a sewing machine retailer. Since he began in the business in 1961, Wallace has built one of the top dealerships in the nation and become a leader in the industry.

With hard work, initiative and generosity, Wallace has dedicated his career to improving the sewing industry and helping the independent dealer. In countless ways, he has shared his knowledge and experience with his fellow dealers, always willing to help, regardless of which manufacturers a dealer may represent.

Time after time, Wallace has spent many hours consulting about problems of other dealers. Whether it be putting together advertising programs, helping with promotional ideas or just listening when someone wants to talk, Wallace has always been there. He has supported the sewing industry in the highest possible way.

Wallace and his wife Ann, with the help of his employees who have been with him for thirty years, have built a successful, growing business based on quality products and customer service. In recognition of this success, Wallace has received the New Home Sewing Machine Co. Outstanding Achievement Award for more than 10 years, a number of their Regional Dealer of the Year Awards, and many Singer Sewing Machine Co. Outstanding Sales Awards.

He is a past president and past district governor of the American Businessman’s Club and has won the Mr. AMBUC National Award. He is a member of the Shriners, serving as Potentate in 1994. Wallace is also past president of the Forest City Gun Club.
