Paul “Bud” E. Cleary

Paul “Bud” E. Cleary was born February 8, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Paul gained his industry experience as service manager for Filter Queen from 1952 to 1973. He was responsible for up to 35 sales/service offices in a territory covering five states. In 1973, Paul started Cleary Vacuum in a house with a 200 square foot showroom. Over the years, it has grown into a 10,000 square foot retail store near famed Indianapolis Speedway.

Cleary Vacuum and Paul Cleary are the epitome of the independent vacuum dealer. As an independent dealer, Cleary Vacuum uses their expertise and thorough hands-on demonstrations to match a customer’s needs with the right product. Both consumers and manufacturers benefit from reliable and affordable repairs on any brand of product regardless of where it was purchased. Cleary Vacuum is the definition of what a vacuum shop is and should be.

Paul has always believed in and practiced the highest ethical standards in all his business endeavors. He has made every effort to establish a name that is synonymous with honesty both in dealing with his business peers and the customers he serves so well. Honest work for an honest fee is the cornerstone on which his business has been built.

He has earned special sales awards from several companies, including Whirlpool and Health-Mor, and has gained recognition for being a Panasonic vacuum specialty dealer since 1991 and a member of Royal’s Presidents Club since 1989. Paul is a charter member of the VDTA and has worked with other independent businesses to aid and encourage their success and survival in local markets filled with high profile merchants.
