Leo Cadelo began his career with Eureka in 1973 in the sales department of its Atlanta branch. Soon he became branch manager of its Columbia, SC, location. He has moved up steadily in the company ever since to become executive vice president of sales, marketing and service. Prior to joining Eureka, Leo was with Burdine’s division of Federated Department Stores in Florida.
Throughout his career, Leo has displayed the highest level of integrity, concern for customers and commitment to quality products and service. His dedication to improving the floor care industry and supporting the independent dealer is unsurpassed.
Leo has authored over 50 monthly columns offering helpful suggestions to vacuum shop owners. His columns have provided valuable ideas on such subjects as staffing, advertising, promotions, customer relations, prospecting for new business, product awareness, store appearance, customer contact opportunities, manufacturer relations, and a myriad of other topics to help independent dealers expand their business.
Leo has been instrumental in Eureka’s support of VDTA and its members. Through advertising and convention exhibits, Leo has sought to assist and educate independent floor care dealers in improving their businesses. Eureka’s sponsorship of special VDTA luncheons, social events, special contests, and entertainment for VDTA members is indicative of Leo’s commitment to the industry. Leo, as well as members of his staff, have been frequent speakers at VDTA seminars designed to help the independent dealer. At his direction, Eureka has even involved VDTA members in the actual design of vacuums destined for their stores.
Leo’s longtime service and dedication to the VDTA and floor care professionals everywhere has set the highest standards for others to achieve.
