H-P Products was founded by Harold Bishop and Paul Schumacher in 1945. The company manufactures, markets and distributes many popular brands of central vacuum systems including VACUFLO®, Dirt Devil® and Dirt Devil® Platinum Force®. In addition, H-P Products manufactures and markets turbine powerheads for the central vacuum industry.
H-P’s innovations began in 1955 with its introduction of the VACUFLO True Cyclonic® central vacuum system (required no bags or filters and exhausted outside). Since then, H-P has continually focused on product innovations and designs that make central vacs more affordable, more convenient and easier to install.
In 2001, H-P introduced a new line of Filtered Cyclonic™ power units to accommodate and attract installations that are unable to exhaust outside. H-P also offers an extensive line of central vacuum accessories and attachments.
VACUFLO Central Vacuum Systems are sold in 27 different countries through an extensive dealer and distributor network.
H-P Products holds an exclusive licensing agreement with Royal® Appliance Manufacturing Company for Dirt Devil® and Dirt Devil® Platinum Force® names on central vacuum systems and accessories. Dirt Devil® Central Vacuum Systems are marketed by H-P Products through building supply dealers and distributors in North America.
H-P Products designed and introduced the first turbine-driven floor brush to the central vac industry -- the TurboCat®. A smaller handheld version called the RugRat® was also introduced. Today, H-P’s turbine products are sold worldwide through dealer channels and to Original Equipment Manufacturers.
Since 1945, H-P Products has been committed to manufacturing high-quality products and providing excellent service. As a customer-driven company, H-P Products’ growth and longevity are a direct result of diversifying its product lines to meet ever-changing needs. Innovative engineering, state-of-the-art technologies, manufacturing expertise and dedicated teamwork have always given H-P Products the flexibility to quickly respond to market changes and customer demands, and produce new and improved products.
